Due to the dinner I reserved for the night, we are forced to spend our time not too far from KL.

Well, as we had visited most of the KL attractive place, so it was difficult for us to figure out a place to hang out.

29 May, the gorgoes Princess Bei has set up a banquet in a unique restaurant! The guests of honor were Wen, May, Andy, Ling, Sze, Jenn, Yin, Boo, Wang, and Leong (me). The dinner was held at Four Happy Seasons Restaurant! (click on it, if u want more information). This restaurant has a concept of 4 seasons dinning regions which are Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Hence, each respective regions provides its particular environment and decoration.

The dinner was set up at 7pm. However, none of the guests were arrived!!

cant blame, even the host also late..

this was due to the heavy traffic jam!

So around 9pm, everyone arrived!!

Frankly speaking, when i got this job I have no idea wat does this brand sell.

Perhaps, something to do with..

ZIP !!

Basically, this brand has been in the market for more than 20 years and it is mainly for househould cleaning product! Zip range of products include Dishwashing Liquid, Floor cleaner, Cream & Powder cleanser. So this time, the Lam Soon company had come out with a NEW PRODUCT called "ALL PURPOSE CLEANER". It is designed to effectively remove stains and tough grease from all floor types and household surfaces such as marble, mosaic, stone, vinyl, terrazzo, parquet, wood, tile and stainless steel materials for a dirt-free and shiny finish, the cleaner also kills bacteria for extra protection.

Well, so my job is to distribute samples in the respective LRT station. The schedule of distribute was kinda absurd!

At first glance, u might think it is reasonble that we r just working for 7 hrs a day. However, when u observe and think carefully. It is "CHI SIN" (insane). 

First, as work starts at 7am, so I need to work up at 5.30am. Second, after 10pm there r gap in between, is about 6 hours break! What to do for that LOooong period?? Third, as all the working venue located in LRT stations so it is more convenient to take train rather than travel by car, but all the LRT transport expenses could not be claimed!

Haih, cant blame.. I shud have asked clearly before getting the job!

Yea, Here comes the third job that i worked. I don't know what the job title but my job was just as simple as making calls! Well, i was employed by an event company called Lassheer. My boss is a young 22 yrs old woman who has married and owned a company. I guess probably the company is patronized by her husband. So this company was helping BHP to organize a huge event entitled BHPetrol Race Ace 2. It held a carnival and Go-Kart race in Shah Alam Stadium at 23 May 2009. So my task was just to make calls to the vast of participants and inform them regarding the event. Owh this job is so easy if were to compare with sampling distributor/ promoter. At least, for this job i just need to seat there and make calls. The bad thing is, we were asked to use our own cell phone. Sigh, I felt kinda stupid when i heard that. Then, my boss had got ready the sim cards for us to make calls. So when ever we r running out of credits, she will get to sumwhere to get our phone reload. Haha.. if phone no battery, then no need work.

Thou we were given a script to follow, but i was just too new to the job and din know what information i need to convey and get from the participants. Till the end of the day, I was still confused with the entire race procedures. In fact my task was just to disseminate information  regarding the Go-kart event and enquire for their attendance to take part in race. Hence, when the partipants asked questions that go beyond my scope, i would start creating my own story and giving "all sort of shud be" (FRAUD) answers to the person.

Anyway, soon later i stopped making calls becoz my phone was out of battery. So i was asked to key in the data of the participants who can make for the race. i had been doing that since after my lunch. However, at last my boss repealed all works that i hv done previously and said "our client actually do not want this kind of things." Haih, i was fine with that cuz work repealed but my pay still on!

BOH 80th Anniversary

::18 May 2009::

Yea,  right after the exhausted day, I and darling went for another job in the next morning! it was about event crew! It was a simple and easy day.  

Essentially, BOH was having its 80th anniversary in Zoo Negara, Ampang. So it handed over it's anniversary to an event company to plan and organize the entire program! The event company had set up a carnival in the center of Zoo, not that huge carnival it was just a small private function. 

In the carnival, certain Malaysia significant foods and games were set every nook and corner. Games such as wau, gasing, batik, guli, congkak, and batu seremban. The program was ran by having competition of 80 groups formed by 4 contestants in a group, so sum up there were 320 contestants. On the day, I was positioned at registration/ redemption counter with another friend name Lilian. My task was to ensure the canditates register for themselves and sign up for the "Death or Alive Agreement" which I called it 生死状. It was actually the terms & conditions by BOH stated that they will not hold any responsibility and bla bla bla.. While doing registration, the contestants were asked to write down all his/her members' name and IC. As you can imagine, there were 4 in a group, so each of them need to write down their name and IC is very troublesome and kill time. Sumore we had 80 groups to handle and the worst thing was Malays often have a long name so they were foced to fit their freaking long name into the small colomn (around 6cm). Yet, the small column need to fit in the name and IC as well. Ohh.. gosh, i dun understand why the person who prepared the registration list can be so "S.M.A.R.T"! Wasted ppl's energy only. Since the name is there why not he/she (the person who prepared for the list) put in all the details included name and IC!!! Aiks, maybe they were too busy till neglected those trivial matter. But, i think this kind of small matters sometimes do make a great difference. Perhaps it could save up more energy and time resources.

Okie, so after the registration thingy, my second task was still stand at the same place and waiting ppl to come for redemption. There were free goodie bag given out, inside a goodie bag got 3 can drink/ package drink, 1 can of BOH tea leaves, a BOH cup, and a BOH towel FOR EACH GROUP. AIyar, cant blame the people for being unsatisfy 不爽, a 80 years historical tea corparate company could only provide ppl with those 5 freebies. SO KIAM SIAP la. (stingy) Then around 3pm, the finale began and here was my last task for being a coordinator. What i did is just help prepare and clean up the tools before and aftar game. So it was kinda easy job. Then, around 3.30pm the event was ended and so the champion got 30,000 cash!!! After all the clean up, it was about 4pm and it started rain, so I and my darling got our straw mat as shelter and head to the car park.

Last but not least, i would say that working in this field i enjoy very much! Hopefully in the future i could get my courier link up with event too!! It is also my pleasure getting know new friends.. perhaps if the friendship could last it would be even greater!

Part Time begins!

PART TIME JOB!

Since holidays begin, I have always keep an eyes to the website www.asiaparttime.com to hunt for jobs! So, yea.. last Friday i got my first job in Pusat Bandar Damansara, where it is located nearby HELP University! I and my GF were working as a SNEAKER promoter. However, we did not sell the chocolate. What we do is just giving out sample to the peoples around there. There were 13 carton, 6 boxes each carton, 20 packs each box, 3 bars each pack, and we need to cut the chocolate into half before distribute them. So total up is 9360 pieces of chocolate samples to distribute.

Those chocolates were prohibited from selling and ppl only allow to take chocolates which have peeled off the wrapper. This is because the chocolates were about to expire in June. So instead making them a waste, the SNEAKERS company decided to hand them all to an event company to help giving out for free. Hence, they could take this opportunity to advertise and promote the product. I felt kinda fresh and fun when i started to do it.  cuz giving out sample to ppl is always better than pursing ppl to buy. However, after I worked for few hours i felt exhausted and i felt nausea by looking at the chocolateS. Sigh, stand for the whole day from 11 till 5pm.
